  • Engaged stakeholders across the university to develop programs supporting the strategic goals of the Graduate School: empowering students through diverse, inclusive communities
  • Collaborated with Dr. Matt Helm, director of Graduate Life & Wellness and Dr. Katy Colbry, Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Services in the College of Engineering to assess and address the needs of female student scientists.
  • Participated in leadership training workshops with a cohort of fellows from different disciplines across the university.

STEM Facility Organic Chemistry Laboratory Planning Committee

  • Represented the needs of organic chemistry laboratory students in meetings with a committee of architects, instructors, and departmental and university administrators.
  • Provided feedback on laboratory designs by considering traffic flow patterns, laboratory needs, and daily operations in instructional organic chemistry laboratory.

  • Collaborated with department alumni, junior graduate students, and faculty to re-establish the Women in Chemistry group in the Chemistry Department
  • Planned seminars, professional development workshops, coordinated luncheons with female seminar speakers, and networking events for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Facilitated events comprised of faculty, staff, postdoctoral associates, and graduate students in conversations about sharing and improving the atmosphere of the MSU Chemistry Department
